A new week begins

I've probably had the loveliest and relaxing weekends for a long while. Went to see Black Swan on Friday nights, which I really recommend - Ms Portman is very believable in her portrayal. On Saturday I "spring" cleaned (incl getting rid of lots of stuff) the flat and did a massive work out afterwards - which really sorted me out! Went around Emma's in the evening for some girly chat time and on Sunday we just lounged at home! Heaven!

Now I'm going to get my a-- in gear for work. Feel good about this week, since I haven't got much on. Going over to the Ingham's tomorrow which will be fab and tonight, of course, it's all about the dog course and "My big fat gypsy wedding" on TV but before that I'm doing 45min on my treadmill! By April, I'm going to be back in the game!

These are my plans this week -TBC:

31/1 Monday: Work 8:30 - 15:10, mini clean at home, treadmill and kettlebells! (One Born Every Minute)
1/2 Tuesday: Work 8:30 - 16:10, Powerwalk with Arnie and kettlebells, dinner around Dave and Rosie's at 19! (Record Gypsy Wedding)
2/2 Wednesday: Work 8:30 - 15:10, GP appointment (nervous), treadmill and kettlebells and wedding planning!
3/2 Thursday: Work 8:30 - 15:10, Powerwalk with Arnie and kettlebells, movie night!
4/2 Friday: Work 8:30 - 15:10, clean the flat, treadmill and kettlebells, date night!
5-6/2 Sat-Sun: Go to Kingston shopping, treadmill and kettlebells (both days), have afternoon tea at the Kensington Hotel and then relax! relax! relax!

Going to...

...NYC for dad's 60th in April (13th-17th), booked my flight the other day. I'm flying over by myself and meeting up with dad and Lisa. Lisa is flying out early and dad a day before me. It's going to be fantastic to enjoy the city again - really looking forward to it!

H&M shopping from home this weekend!

FF= Finally Friday

I'm skipping the Thank and the God, Finally Friday is here and I can't wait to have some proper down time this weekend. Frazer and I are finally hitting the cinema this evening, Black Swan looks like a must since it's been so talked about.

We might be having some "Frangos" beforehand, but I will definitely buy a big bucket of popcorn (a must for a thriller...)

Cuddles

This is what I needed after a poo day:

Arnie-no-balls Duffy/Karlborg is now 8 months and weighing in at 64kg! I'm 5'9 (175cm) so you get the picture, he's a big young man!

Arrrggh!

I'm so fed up today! Feel tired and annoyed and I just want the day to be over! Unfortunately I have to watch the school detention kids this afternoon, so I won't be able to leave work when I normally do...Buuhuu! Want to be able to click my fingers and for it to be Friday afternoon so I can get some rest and start feeling more awake.

So I turned 29

Hung over from Saturday's lovely meal at Gaucho's, too much champagne ;)

My birthday began with a lovely lay-in and then we were off to the Duffys for breakfast and cupcakes!

Managed to get to and from IKEA where I've finally bought the world map I've wanted to get for a long time now.

The day was rounded off with a home cooked meal a la Jaqui and some AMAMZING cake!

Bring on 2-9!

Short but really sweet

That's exactly was my weekend was. The 42h I spent in Eskilstuna went, like expected, really quick. Didn't even leave their house on Saturday. Celebrated my nan with some lunch and cake and after all the other relatives had gone home we just spent hours chatting away...

I have realised that I need a dose of Sweden, every once in a while. It makes me feel so connected and happy. The perk of leaving away from your family members is that you REALLY appreciate them when you see them and therefore time feels like it's moving so fast. Yesterday, after a mega long breakfast, we went for a long walk and then in to town for some chinese, after that it was time to go to the airport.

What made my heart feel even more content was that I was greeted by my lil family at the airport! They had both really missed me and I them.

Arnie has hardly left my side since I got back, so I got lots of cuddles this morning! Yeay for Mondays!

Boarded...

JM + Zizzi + Ems = Lovely Thur

Had a lovely time with Ems last night in Kingston. We went to have a relaxing hand massage at Jo Malone and then for some dinner at Zizzi's. It's great to do things mid week, since it breaks up the week a bit and had we not gone I would not have been able to spot the bridesmaids dresses I ended up buying in COAST - Weehoo! They were out of one size, but luckily being as the fantastic store that they are, they managed to track down the size at another shop and it's being sent to me in the post - Double Whoop! Bringing one dress over to Sweden for Lisa to try, so fingers crossed it'll be perfect.

Off to Sweden in 5h!

Since it's my granma's 80th this weekend I thought it'd be nice to be there, so I booked a flight to Sweden. I'm not so sure about facing the snow again though, but from what I gather it's a lot warmer (if you can call it warm!!!) than at xmas. It'll be a short but sweet visit, but I'm looking forward to it, especially having some cake before the treadmill madness begins...

I've Got That Friday Feeling...

Even though the weather is sh*t, I'm really in a good mood this afternoon. I've had a mega busy week, with parents' evenings, school trips and meetings, hence the lack of LSB updates. Finally I also feel completely well from my cold and will therefore on Monday be starting my treadmill i-run workouts - can't wait! More updates to follow...

Booked our HONEYMOON!

It's still a little bit of a secret where we are going, but I'll tease you with some pictures from our chosen room...

I can see clearly now...

Yesterday we had ALL of our windows cleaned - for £10! Can't believe I have insisted on doing this chore myself before, it's the most boring thing EVER! Love this city! Now we've also booked them in to return every 6 weeks - result!

New lease of life!

Hallelujah! Finally I feel human again!

Even though I felt slightly better on Saturday morning, I took a turn for the worse in the evening and my soar throat returned once again. Trying to ignore it, I also (stupidly) dragged myself into work yesterday, which ended in me having to leave work early, so I could go home and SLEEP! After two LONG sleeps and last night's beauty sleep, I finally can say that I felt human again. Still have a little bit of a cough, but my mood is on top again and I'm looking forward to getting my life back to normal = expect some major updates!

Where's my quiet morning?

I'm on the mend people! Hallelujah! Thank you for all your lovely texts these past days, they made me feel a lot better.

The thought was to have a quiet Saturday morning before SJ and I go bridesmaid's dress shopping, but man was I wrong...

Frazer got up to work at 8ish and I took Arnie for a walk, then I barely finished my breakfast before the Argos men showed up with my new best friend. Now I just have to feel well enough to get to know him ;)

Also got some early b-day presents that I've ordered on behalf of my parents (saves shipping and expensive Ryanair luggage fees) and I've got more coming, yeay!

Now with some company from Arnie, I'm going to enjoy my Sanesso and new mag, which reminds me. How weird is it that during the two days I was at home ill I received the 3 magazines I subscribe to, it was like the postman knew I needed something to do...I felt lucky!

What's wrong with me?

Don't answer that question please, felt like I was asking for abuse there. I only lasted two days at work before my cold took over and I felt as if my head was (and still is) boiling. Had to ring in sick which I absolutely hate to do, feel so guilty for not working, how sad am I? Don't answer that on either.

Spent my day in the following way: had breakfast, dragged myself and Arnie around the block, had two coffees to wake up, read some magazines, made lunch, dragged Arnie around the block again, had a nap, watched some online tv, Arnie's third walk and then I slept some more.
Really unsure about tomorrow, my troat's still killing me and I've still got a fever...looks like I need another day at home - boring!

Our wedding planner!

Arnie felt that, rather than just being lazy all day, that he'd help us organise the wedding. When Frazer came home at lunch time, all the leftover invitations, wedding mags, ribbons etc where spread all over the place...What a little organiser!

Shopping on 1st day back!

"We're going back, back, back to school again..."

The first day back at work is nearly over and things feel really good. A large part of me secretly enjoys having a routine and getting up each morning with something to do, might seem pathetic but that's how I work.

Have a meeting after work, so I won't be home until after half 4 (sighs), really do not like "long" days at work. But tomorrow-Friday are free in the afternoon so I really should NOT complain.

Spent a little while looking at H&M home stuff and saw so much nice stuff. Really want to get a spring feeling at home, with lots of tulips and bright colours. I've had enough of darkness and red shades...
