Oh it's starting to feel like Xmas!

About to start putting together some Christmas Hampers at work with my students. The Christmas music is blaring out my speakers - Oh it's starting to feel like Xmas!

Since the English have never heard of Lucia, I'll have to make do with the SVT broadcast of the celebrations from Gothenburg. It's lovely having on in the background as I'm marking!

Saturday oh Saturday!

What a brilliant start to a sunny weekend.

Mega breakfast, watching The X Factor USA results and sipping some coffee.

Then off for a 45min power-walk with Arnie out in the sunshine. The frost was glistening and eventhough it was freezing, the sun did a great job taking my mind off of the cold. Now we're back in the warmth, I'm editing the wedding video, ready for Hong Kong and Arnie is, surprise surprise, asleep. Enjoy the sunshine folks - it's the weekend!

Lovely 8th of Dec

First of all in exactly 14 days we will be in HK, exciting!

I'm trying to shape up for Christmas by jogging away at the gym. We've got so many goodies in the house, that the only way I'll avoid becoming fat as a house is to run, run, run!

Listened to Rihanna's new album today, there are some really good tunes to run to. I'll provide a full playlist tomorrow.

Now, after a shower I'm going to speed through "The X factor USA". Nearly time for the finals! Whoop whoop!

Miss this square

Feel really "Eskilstuna/home"-sick at today. I really miss my parents, my sister and friends :( 

I wish I could just snap my fingers and be back in Eskilstuna, Christmas shopping with my mum and sister or simply having a fika with Sandra, to then be able to snap them again and be back in London. Looking forward to a visit in January and for the family to come to ours in less than 9 days! Weehoo! 

Guard dog

Last night, around 2 o'clock in the morning, we were woken up by Arnie pacing around in our bedroom. He sometimes can shuffle about at night so at first I did not wake up properly by all his paw noices. After a few minutes Frazer woke me up saying he'd heard Arnie growl as if he was scared about something. I sort of brushed it off, but Frazer got up to have a look, what could be making the dog feel uneasy. It turned out our front door as myseriously open. Don't ask me how, but it had and it couldn't have been open for long since the house was still warm. Our dog might not bark when people come, but he sure knows how to warn us. So thankful he's ours.
 

Oh happy day!

I'm in such a good place at the moment. I'm discovering new strengths and feeling really good about myself. Had a good day at work and went to pick Arnie at doggie daycare. He was knackered, so whilst he was snoozing away in the front room I hovered and steamed (with my shark!) the floors and then I made a massive cup of coffee. Finally I could sit down in front of my iMac to have a play with iMovie and PS.

Awwwweeeee...

It's so good, I can't put it down! I'm really liking these Kepler books, read The Hypnotist during our honeymoon and this is their second book (it's available in English as well folks!) and it's equally as good. I really should turn the lights off, but since Frazer is still working away on his computer, I can do a few more chapters...

I've had a really lovely weekend. Relaxed and cozy. There's so much to look forward to and I'm quite busy at work, and busy is fun - makes the day go quicker. There are only 2 full weeks left of this term and then it's Xmas - can't wait!

Dec 4th

Lovely Sunday! 2nd candle was lit and an old iMac was purchased! Finally I'll be able to edit the wedding video at home!!! Arnie came with to pick up the mac and he got slightly bored in the back, bless him!

Dec 3rd!

It's heating up in the Duffy household! This weekend is our traditional Xmas decorating weekend, but this year I sorted all the decorations last weekend and during the week so we can relax this Saturday. I'm therefore enjoying a coffee and my two mags that arrived today, timing!

Love this time of year, so excited to see my family in 2 weeks and then the other half of my family in HK for Xmas! However I can't help to feel sad that Arnie does not meet the baggage allowance :(

Dec 2nd!

Yup,yup, you guessed it -I'm still in bed with my coffee and I'm so happy it's nearly time for the weekend! I'm looking forward to a relaxing day at work and getting some paperwork sorted for next week. Things are really going well at work, the students are all working hard and when I pop on some Xmas tunes things seem to go even better, think I've found my magic formula.

Went around to the Jerwood girls after work yesterday. Lovely to see Lou-Lou, she's sooo big now all grown up! It's not long ago that she looked like this...

Xmas @ work

To properly get myself in the mood for Xmas (like I need the boost?) I've started creating a lovely Christmas vibe in my classroom. My tutor group helped, creating some of these creations and I brought in the advent lights and bought a mini-tree!

Dec 1st!

Can't believe it's December already, November just flew by! Frazer and I keep having breakfast in bed, every morning! It's so lovely! It takes real willpower to get up though, but since it's Thursday aka "nearly the weekend" and I have two relatively easy teaching days left. Seeing the lovely Jerwood girls after work as well which always is brill!
