One year
A year ago, I was still in our bridal suite getting ready to wed the best man in the world, my best friend, lover and partner-in-crime Frazer. August 6th 2011, became the most perfect of days, friends and family were all gathered, the sun was shining, plenty of good food and drinks around and great music, oh how we danced the night away. What's amazing is that I'm more in love today than ever before. If you find the right love, it makes your life easier. Because that is what love should do. Loving Frazer is the easiest and most fulfilling thing in the world and I'm proud to be his Wife. Life is good.

Update 5: Dog sitting Bonny
"Bon-bons" (my nickname for her) has come to stay with us for a few days. I was a little bit nervous to take on a more energetic and younger doggie, but it's been great. Our pack leading skills have been put to the test and I have to say we've passed with flying colours! Arnie is also enjoying having a four-legged buddie and I think Bonny likes it too ;)
Update 3: 7 years of loveliness!
We celebrated 7 years together (23/7) in two ways. We went to CakeBoy for afternoon tea (amazing) for out of this world sandwiches and cakes! O-M-G!
We also went to Skåne for 2 night to see Marie and Caspar, who funnily enough met and got together on the same night as my husband and I did. We had a fun filled few days and we can't wait to do it again soon!

Update 2: Friends dates
We went to see the new Batman film on its opening day and I think it was a brilliant end to the trilogy. If you haven't seen it yet, please do so. I really need to remember to not eat so much popcorn when I go to the cinema though...but I can't help it!
We also christen our new light blue Weber BBQ, perfectly timed with the Olympics opening ceremony. Pimm's, BBQ stuff, snacks and a yummy dessert later and after watching the
3h show I felt very proud to be a UK resident! Go GB!
Frazer also has now perfected his Irish Coffee. Irish born Siobhan, 91 years young, helped him perfect it - we love her!

Update 1: Summer holiday routine "The first stage"
The two first weeks of my summer holiday have gone so quickly and I feel like I've done so much. I often feel like I need a routine to stick to when I'm off, otherwise I get very little done. So the first stage is filled with "to do" lists and lots of practical stuff that I haven't got around to. However last week was mostly spent sunbathing (you have to worship the sun when it decides to come out) and getting settled in the house which was nice. Arnie and I have started bootcamp, walking for 1h in the morning in a nearby park (as well has mid and afternoon walks). I have also been to the gym (we'll see how long I can keep this up). I think the first stage is coming to an end...

Weekend bliss
Started my Friday in the park with Arnie followed by a dinner date with my husband @ Pizza Express.
The Saturday was a hit as well with a yummy breakfast in Wimbo village followed by Tennis - our first time at Wimbledon!
Frazer has to work in the evening, however mine was spend celebrating Hayley! Late night but got to sleep in until 9am - super late for us!
Today has been spent getting soak during a walk with Arnie, reading 50 shades darker, packing and now watching the tennis. Going for a jog later outside unless it starts pouring down again.

Songs of life
Music has always played such an important role in my life. What I love about songs is that some hold such strong memories and represent different times in my life. The songs themselves are completely random, but whenever I hear them I'm brought back to that time in my life. Thought I'd share some recent ones...
On the beach/car/house in France with J&H 2011
- this was way before the song actually hit the charts
Having breakfast and getting ready on our wedding day 06/08/11, I played this song over and over. Still makes my heart feel full.
August 2008 in Mexico. Tanning, relaxing or working out - this song was so perfect for all 3.
...And just recently, going to see my sister. This song will always take me back to the subway and streets of NYC.

Excited!!!
We've finally exchanged contracts on our house and we are over the moon, so relieved and happy that we've found the perfect place for us. Yay!!! Celebrated with a gym session and a cheeky McDonald's with the delicious Twix McFlurry! Hoohaa!!!

Running outside
Really pays off. Felt so easy at the gym today. 5k run and some weights and a good stretch and I felt as good as new again! Hooo-haa!!!

Humid
After a whole morning of dealing with our lovely year 7 students and their exams, I simply had to put my feet up for a few minutes. I just had to, I mean it probably looked like I was sitting back relaxing (which I partly was) but my feet had reached breaking point. In a way I wish that it would rain for like 10 minutes so we can feel some fresh air. Can't wait to take Arnie to the Park, when I get home.

So cross!
I am always so bloody organised, so when I reorganised my whole morning, which included spending 45min in a car (dropping Arnie off at Doggie daycare and then driving back to work) when I normally spend 10, I was not so pleased to find out that the really important 8:00 meeting had been cancelled. I could have had a quiet morning, had a long breakfast, walked the dog and rocked up at 8:28 like a do these days (all because I'm organised!) - instead I'm sat here with nothing to do (hence this post) and the thought of the fact that I need to be at work until 21:00 tonight really haunts me. Gaaaahhhhhh!

My weekend
My weekend had the best of starts as our solicitor called with the fantastic news that we are finally, let me repeat FINALLY exchanging contracts this week on our new house - mega-yeay to that! So my mood was on top when I boarded the flight to go and see my mum and dad in Sweden. I spent a short but absolutely lovely weekend with them and as it was Midsummers, it was the perfect time to relax, eat lots and have a drink. I got to see my grandparents, auntie and two uncles on the Saturday, had a lovely catch up with Sandra on the Sunday and in between I stocked up on various goodies in ICA, caught a little bit of the sunshine before going back on the Sunday evening. It's so peaceful to go home to my parents for a weekend, I feel refreshed when I come back. Frazer was a true husband and came to pick me up, although the quarterfinal had just started on TV. We've never driven so fast back home from Gatwick - less than an hour after touching down I was sat in front of the TV ready for the second half. Commitment or what! Haha!
