Two pics from my day yesterday. I love this app...and ice cream!

A conversation

Frazer's left the house for another wedding fair and Arnie misses him already. I've told him that he needs to let his food rest for a little bit longer before we can go out for a walk.
He's really not happy about that decision. Oh well. Frazer won't be long and the walk, which we eventually will take, will do him some good, so that's that. End of conversation.

Segway!

Yesterday I did something that I've never done before, went on an off road Segway rally! I had been dreading it all week but it was so much fun. We all fell over at one point, but luckily for me I only had to step of the segway, so my "fall" was the most graceful ;) After that adventure we then had a stroll in Windsor, looked that the castle and had some lunch, before we had to head back found time for a house viewing - a perfect day!

Back in the game

Walking dead season 2, new episodes!

I'm hooked

Two gifts from my lovely sister. A book and a pair of beautiful earrings. She got them for me the earrings for my birthday the boom for xmas. The earrings I've worn nearly everyday, I absolutely love them! With my sis being in NYC until the summer it makes me feel like I'm a bit closer to her :) The book she got me I haven't been able to start until the other night. I read the first chapters and was hooked. It is super scary and I ended up having a lot of nightmares... It's even scarier than the Hypnotist that I read on honeymoon. Might need to put it in the freezer :)

Forgot to show

Some pics from Sweden. I had such a lovely time. I renewed my passport - (Mrs D at last), catching up with Sandra (lovely), reading books for Filippa (I'd love to be a mum!), meeting Nicki (she's tiny!), celebrating my grandad (he turned 84, but does not look older than 73!) and then of course spending a lot of time with my mum and dad just being us (amazing!)

The weekend has begun!

Been a bit quiet this week, I know. Things are a bit hectic with our house hunt and being back at work in full force has taken its toll on me. I have to admit that the 18 degree spring sunshine this afternoon and a 40min walk with Arnie, before cleaning the house, did the trick. It's such a great feeling, walking. Quickly and with a purpose. Arnie is next to me the whole time, such a gem.

Back at work!

Came back from Sweden last night, will do a longer update tomorrow - so check in then. Arnie and I are on the same level, this is how my head feels at the moment.

Off to Sweden

Wearing my Boomerang jacket (which normally is tucked away in my closet), my UGGs, gloves, hat and all the rest of it, I'll be boarding a flight tonight to Eskilstuna, Sweden. Really look forward to spending some quality time with my parents, have a good catch up chat with Sandra, renew my passport (I'm finally becoming Mrs Duffy!) and maybe having a 'semla' (yum!).

I wanna be...

...Like this lady when I'm her age. Siobhan is 91 and works her iPad better than most. She also view clips from her iPad on her TV, just cause she can. Love her!

Healthy week

I must admit, I've been so healthy this week. This week so far has consisted of lots of long walks with Arnie, a gym visit nearly every day and a lot of healthy food. On top of  it all I've also started taking some multivitamin tabs. It's doing the trick, I feel great.

Arnie and myself in Non Such

This half-term, for me, was all about getting back into my normal routine again. Eating well, exercising and doing things that I enjoy and that give me energy. I didn't have a great start to the year, had to eat antibiotics (again), had a massive cold etc etc and therefore I felt that it was really important to take care of myself this break.
Today's lunch:
Tuna salad, crisp bread with humous and some papaya.

Forgot to share

Before I began my half-term holiday on Friday I received these flowers and lovely 'Thank you' card (and box of chocolates) from a class at work. I've worked my behind off during the past 4 weeks at work. I have felt really proud of myself for keeping it all together, staying happy and working my hardest to keep morale up in all of our groups - but to then receive a lovely written card and some sweets and lovely flowers, well that just simply made me want to weep. I didn't though, however I did feel my cheeks getting really warm, as did my heart! I've got the best students!

Happy V-day!

Finally got to buy one of those Valentine's husband cards - Woohoo! Had lunch out together and are cooking up a third course one tonight and dusting off one of the nicer wines - bliss!

A tribute.

She was by far one of the greatest voices in the music industry and although the last 15 years have been overshadowed by scandals and sad pictures in the press, Whitney was still Whitney.

I will continue to treasure the memory I have of one of her concerts. In 1993 she managed to create complete silence amongst us 25,000 people listening to her in the Globen arena, for what seemed like a small lifetime, before belting out the end of the song "I will always love you". We were all clinging to every note she hit. I remember thinking that this MUST be how a star sounds.

Bless my dad, who had taken us to the show, he sat outside in the car park for the whole performance. That's daddy commitment for ya.

R.I.P Whitney <3

Sandra & Sanna time

Just another week or so before I get to see Sandra again - can't wait lovely!

I miss this chick!

Autie Sanna misses Sabrina loads and can't wait to cuddle with her in April!

Our model!

This is the front gate sign from Arnie's doggie-day care centre!

My Saturday so far

Frazer left Arnie and I at 8-something for work and we soooo did not feel like getting up...

...but after a quick breakfast Arnie showed me some very clear signs that he wanted me to layer up and take him out for a walk (he blocked my view of the TV). I got my mega thick - and Swedish jacket and headed out for a good 1h 15min tour of the block/park! Blue sky and frost on the grass - lovely!
