Cheers to Jack & Hayley!

Two of my favourite people "Jacko & Haylo" got engaged yesterday on Christmas Day- Flippen Fantastic News! Just gav me an even bigger reason to buy some bubbly at the airport so we can celebrate asap! Whoop whoop!

Merry Christmas!

Arrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh! I'm missing Frazer like MAD! I have actually found myself singing along and more horrifying even relating to every word of Mariah's classic tune. All I want for Christmas is you...
With that said, Sweden has really been fantastic so far. Thankfully I made it here, 2h late, but still I was here. It was quite some time ago that I experienced such cold temperatures, -20 to -30 during the day and loads of snow, unthinkable weather condidtions for most Londoners and for most humans on the planet too. Have had quality time with friends - how I've missed you Sandra! Good chats amd food with my family - how I've missed you guys! Thought I'd let you see some pictures from Sweden so far...
This is when dad picked me up from the airport...brrrrr!

Swedish x-mas

These sweets were nearly as sweet as Sandra ;)
All smiles at Sandra's (photo from Filippa's blog)

How cute can you get? Filippa is growing so fast and really rockin those UGGs!

Standard The X-Files box set

Pre X-mas dinner out with lovely sister, uncle and all the cousins!

Stighultsgatan is covered...

Lisa and I did a mighty fine job with the tree!

The garden is lovely!
With those pictures I'll end this red little Christmassy post. Hope you all have a lovely one, regardless if you celebrate today or tomorrow or both.

To all of you from all of me a very merry Christmas!

Fingers crossed

I wanna make it to Sweden for Xmas this year... Please let my flight from Gatwick tonight take off...

Scared sh*tless!

Frazer and I watched Cape Fear last night and for some reason it really scared me. I'm normally not easily spooked, but DeNiro properly freaked me out this time!

Watch this classic, if you haven't by now.

@ Work

Trying to keep busy. I've truly got ants in my pants today because I can't sit still and I wanna get things done all the time - Arrgh hate not being the lazy kind! I know I better need to preserve this feeling and use it well to prep for the first week back after New Years, cause I know I'll feel different then... Blog more later!

13.12.10

Success @ dog class

Now I know how those proud mums feel in the audience during Xmas plays. Arnie passed with flying colours because Frazer was superb with him! We've got a Xmas party next week with 30 something dogs attending, looking forward to it!

X-mas feeling @ work

The cards on my desk...love it!

She's a winner in my books

Rebecca so should have won last night, but although she came second she certainly went out with a bang singing "Sweet Dreams". I was on the sofa bouncing away, dancing so much I woke Arnie who was snoozing on the floor.

The X factor was followed by BBC news which headlined the suspected terror attack in Stockholm. I'm surprised that something like this has happened in Stockholm, regardless if it is terror related or not. What's going on?

Rebecca to win The X-Factor!

Don't feel overly to confidant, but in my heart I still want Rebecca to win tonight. Here are my top 3 songs with her:

Lulu!

We had a lovely visit from The Jerwoods this morning and I managed to snap some gorgeous shots of Louisa -and obviously had to squeeze in Arnie too ;)

Walking the dog

Had another lovely walk with Arnie this morning before work, I jsut feel so much more alert when I got to work. It also really made me look forward to when we can take him out for long walks in a few months time. Arnie is going to get me fit for fight for our wedding, or I might need to be the one dragging him around the block...I guess we'll see about that :)

"Know y'all been patiently waiting, I know you need me, I can feel it,
I'm a beast, I'm an animal, I'm that monster in the mirror,
The headliner, finisher, I'm the closer, winner.
Best when under pressure one second's left I show
"

Gotta love Usher on a Friday afternoon, bring on the weekend!

The PALEOLITHIC way...

Once the nutty time of Christmas is over, Frazer and I are doing something that our PT Manny recommended before we ended our sessions - THE PALEOLITHIC DIET.
Now we already pretty much eat a few meals of the week according to the paleo diet, but in January we'll be doing the 30-day palio challenge.
The purpose is not, and I repeat NOT to loose weight, trust me I never have been nor will I ever go on a diet.
The paleo diet basically mean that you eat none of the following:
  • Grains- including bread, pasta, noodles
  • Beans- including string beans, kidney beans, lentils, peanuts, snow-peas and peas
  • Potatoes
  • Dairy products
  • Sugar
  • Salt
Eat the following:
  • Eggs
  • Meat, chicken and fish
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables (especially root vegetables, but definitely not including potatoes or sweet potatoes)
  • Nuts, eg. walnuts, brazil nuts, macadamia, almond. Not peanuts or cashews though.
  • Berries- strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
  • Root vegetables- carrots, turnips, parsnips, rutabagas, Swedes
Not drinking dairy will be I challenge I'm sure, but I really want to try it out.

Babies and some fish 'n chips

Felt quite tired when I came home yesterday, but after a long walk with Arnie (who was patiently waiting by the door when I got in), a  mini-clean (standard on Wednesdays) and a massive clean up of the dishes (hurry up and arrive you stupid machine, my hands and fairy liquid do not match) I finally got to stop sit down and give my sweet Sandra a buzz. She put me on the phone with her (soon to be) 3 year old who talked about "Pippi Longstocking" and something else that I couldn't really decipher - but it still warmed my heart!

The evening then continued in good spirits, Frazer came home wanting to kiss me (a lot) which is always the best and then G & Rach turned up! Got some lovely apple and blackberry marmalade which I plan to use this afternoon after Arnie's walk. A marmalade toast and a Sanesso is what I need!

When spent the evening talking about babies and weddings - felt very adult (for a change)! We know quite a few people who are having children in the new year and I could be more happy for all of them - babies are the BEST! To be perfectly honest I thought I'd start to feel rushed and more eager for me and Frazer to have childern of our own, once a lot of our friends were starting to having babies, but with every new baby bump, I just feel pure joy! Joy that another family is taking shape in the world, but also joy over the fact that Frazer and I are the kind of people who always walk our own way, making our own decisions, based on what we want to do in life and not just getting swept up in what can become a baby-hyseria. I think we both want to be married for a while first before we start trying, so we get to properly enjoy married life together, because then a baby will only become the icing on the cake ;)

21 has arrived!

How this surpassed me is very odd, but cheap and funky Forever 21 has finally arrive to the UK - yeay x 2! Still waiting to see a London superstore (only store in the UK is in Birmingham), but hey, they have an online shop! I'm going to grab me some x-mas gifts from there asap!

Sharing is caring

Had to show you this...

I know I keep going on about him, but he's my second love and means so much to me. Arnie has now made up his mind, that in front of the fire that's where he wants to be, preferably snoring for most of the evening - bless!

Freeeeeeezing!

It looks and feels freezing outside and our place is still not as toastie as it should be. Therefore
I'm still in bed, nibbling on some fruit for breakfast. Obviously I have to have some porridge first, but I always feel in such a good mood when I have my Sanesso and some straw/blueberries afterwards - yum!

Busy day ahead of me, feels like I'm properly back to business again, so now it's full speed for another week and a half.

Looking forward to seeing G & Rach tonight for some fish n chips (and the bump of course). They know what they're having, but I'm not allowed to say, so until it's public I'm keeping quiet. Blue or Pink, what's it gonna be?

Damn Dishwasher!

Our dishwasher decided to stop working on Saturday, even though it's only about 3 years old - bloody lazy git! And it's a Bosch as well, they're suppose to be good! Arrggh!

We've ordered a new one and it will be with us in Sunday, amen.

No more rubber gloves no more fairy liquid, amen again.

3000 peeps!

Amazing! Love it that you love to stop by. More comments please, they make me so happy! X x x

X mas card

With a full cup of Sanesso and two pens, Im ready for a card writing marathon! Whoop whoop!

I bought my wedding dress

Just like that, the search was over. Months (yes months) of looking, trying LOTS of dresses on, I had the feeling. Never thought I'd feel it, but when I did - damn it felt great. Looking forward to August even more now...

6.12.10

New week begins

Feel refreshed, and very ready for a new week. Technically only teach four days this week, since we've got Academic mentoring day on Friday, which feels great. Only 9 1/2 days left (half day next Friday) to the Xmas holiday, can't believe it's gone so quick!

My feelings towards work has been a bit mixed lately and the reason I think it's been a bit tough is because I've worked really hard with my teaching groups and sooner or later you feel like you've hit a wall. But I've been there before and I'm good wall climber ;) so things will feel better!

Happy Monday folks - LSB is now back in business!

Champers

A Chinese takeaway and some bubbly to celebrate...

1 year of Engagement

The year has gone really quick, but some say time moves a bit quicker when you're in love...

Christmas @ No 17

Feet up with the cuppa - Bliss!
This might look staged, but I swear on my mum's life he did this  completely by himself
Love candles!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Snow days...

Since I had a few days off my mind sort of switched itself off and away I went to la-la-white-winter land. I did however pick up my camera and took some shots of Arnie over the long weekend, here are a few...
